12 Days of Christmas: Day 3: Learning Shoe

Learning to Tie Shoe Laces

On the third day of Christmas, Learning that's Fun gave to me, a cute soft activity Learning Shoe from Skill Builders.

If you have a pre-schooler at home learning to do buttons and tie their laces, this is the perfect gift for them. With simple dressing skills to learn children can button, zip, tear velcro and tie laces on this oversized soft shoe that makes it easy for them to grip hold of. The Learning Shoe also features a small mirror, a crunchy shoe flap and a rattling nose to make it even more novel.

Learning to tie your shoes

Suitable for children over 12 months, it's a great opportunity for them to get started early, or a nice option for the older ones who need a little extra help. Kids can even put their foot in the back of the shoe where it unzips, so they can get used to tying from the right angle. This big softy is so cute and colourful, any toddler would love it for Christmas.

  1. I have very little patience for tying shoe laces… Miss Six is desperate to learn and this would be perfect for both her and Master 2!!

    1. Velcro is so much easier isn't it Melissa! The great thing about this shoe is not only the laces, but also the zipper, the giant button hole, the velcro AND a mirror. Big and easy to use for little hands.

  2. My six year old finds it hard to tie shoe laces so it will be very helpful for him to learn.I would give this to him so that he can learn during school holidays.I am sure my 1.5 year old will try his best to learn with his big brother..

  3. My nephew. Although he is still a fair while off learning to tie his own shoes, it can't help to be prepared. Plus, I remember the embarassment of having to ask a friend to tie mine in year 1.

  4. I've got three kids who need to learn to tie up their shoe laces. Although I might pretend that this is a present purely for my almost three year old, it actually would be handy for my eight year old son and six year old daughter. My son has almost outgrown all the velcro shoes so he needs to practice over the holidays to get ready for next years school shoes! P.S The Learning Shoe looks a bit like Rudolph don't you think!!
